Casper Brake and Clutch 17th & Charlotte

Mechanimal is collaborative show by Jackie Brandle and Ryan Comiskey. Both sophomores at the Kansas City Art Institute, this will be the pair's first exhibition.

The artists turn an often playful eye toward the increasing mechanization of human subsistence. The work carries an awareness of the inherent natural origins that are essential to and overshadowed by this process. The bodily decay depicted in Jackie's work is juxtaposed with the digital decay present in Ryan's.
